Dolls

Since I have categories for both dolls and plushes, I need a solid definition between the two. Dolls have to be humanoid and heavily feature articles of clothing that can be positioned and removed. What makes this different from a puppet though? Intention.

I first started creating dolls as a way to experiment with designing and patterning clothing while on a budget. My first dolls had cloth bodies and clay faces (to avoid sewing any complicated shapes) and plenty of clothes to cover up any mistakes in the construction. Later on, as I became interested in Raggedy Ann media, I began sewing fully-finished rag-style dolls. These are much simpler than my fashion doll creations.
